Overview

This manual and user guide for the WHO Ageism Scale is a practical guide for introducing, administering, scoring, and interpreting the scale – an extensively tested tool designed to help you measure ageism and evaluate the impact of interventions aimed at reducing ageism. It also includes specific guidance on how to translate and validate the scale, and recommends example settings where the scale could be best used. The English versions of the WHO Ageism Scale are included as printable annexes. The manual and user guide is aimed at researchers, policymakers and government officials, civil society organisations, health and care professionals, and anyone else who has interest in addressing ageism.
