Jisella Dolan is the Chief Global Advocacy Officer at Home Instead, one of the world’s largest providers of home care services and aiming to empower individuals to age in place with dignity and respect. In her role, Jisella Dolan is dedicated to advocating for older adults and their loved ones, ensuring a quality care experience, helping transform the healthcare delivery system, working to elevate the caregiving profession, and shaping aging and home care policy around the world. In addition to her role at Home Instead, Jisella Dolan is a family caregiver and from her lived experience, she knows first-hand the challenges that older adults, their loved ones, and care professionals face on a daily basis. Because of Jisella Dolan’s role as a working mother, a family caregiver, and a female executive, she brings a unique perspective within her advocacy work of making the world a better and kinder place to grow old in.
Jisella Dolan’s work through Home Instead demonstrates the role that the private sector can play in fostering healthy ageing beyond simply being a provider of services. For example, she actively advocates for a global transformation of the care profession, so that professional care workers are no longer viewed as a role of ‘last resort’, but instead a valued, admired, career of the future crucial to helping people live lives of meaning and dignity. To this end, Jisella Dolan builds public-private partnerships and commissions research to understand how we can best change the world’s perception of care and build broader appreciation of its value to society.
In recognition of her leadership, Jisella Dolan serves in a number of global roles, including Strategy Officer at the World Economic Forum and their Global Future Council for Health and Health Care, as well as the American federal RAISE Act Family Caregiving Advisory Council. In addition to her active participation in the Global Coalition on Aging, she is part of the Women’s Leadership Council for Women Against Alzheimer’s and the Home Care Association of America’s Strategy Committee. She is driven by her personal experience with caregiving and is passionate about elevating caregivers and making healthy aging accessible to all.
